Gut Health!!!
What does this even mean and how important is it really to implement probiotics and prebiotics into your lifestyle.
Gut Health is so important for your mental health, immunity, physical health and so much more I like to refer to my gut health as the control center of my destiny especially when it comes to my everyday life and fighting off the viruses that surround us on an everyday basis. Refer back to my blog that talks all about gut health and the importance to your life however, in a nutshell, it refers to the correct balance of microorganisms that live your digestive tract.
“Gut health is vital for your health. If you want optimal immunity, digestion, mental clarity, abundant energy, thyroid function, and hormonal balance, focus on rebuilding your gut health.”

I am sure that all of us have experienced constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating or other stomach issues well news flash this is a sign of an imbalance in your gut.
I’m sure you have heard of prebiotics and probiotics and maybe you have just heard the terminology but not really understand what it all means and that’s okay because I am here to break it down in a way that I hope you can all understand.
Prebiotics are a source of fiber that helps source and grow the good bacteria we need within our digestion tracts it acts as a fertilizer. You can find sources of prebiotics in the foods that we eat such as bananas, asparagus, potatoes, oats, barley and rice however there may be times where we may not eat enough of these foods that are riched with prebiotic fibers to continue the growth of the good bacteria in our digestion tract. Many of us also tend to stay away from the rice, potatoes, wheat due to allergens that cause us other issues which it is probably good to really break down the amount of prebiotics you implement in your daily habits to ensure you are continuing your gut health.
Probiotics are the live enzymes that keep the balance between the good bacteria and the bad bacteria after all we all need BALANCE!! This keeps our digestion tract working the way that it should and it can also help with replacing the “good” bacteria when it has been removed. As prebiotics again you can find sources of probiotics in your food such as yogurt! Something I learned however if you are striving to find the foods that have those sources of probiotics, look at your labels. Here is why, when foods are pasteurized it kills off those good bacteria or live enzymes so you want to make sure you see that those sources have been put back into your foods again you will see this on your label.
Prebiotics and Probiotics work together to maintain a great balance for your gut health and it is so important to be mindful of your intake and how often you implement this into your life.
